The Missus of Anarchy

A wise man once said: "Nothing cannot exist forever".  A dumb man once said: "I should have just stayed in bed with my wife, the porn star."  This shows that whether you are Stephen Hawking or Opie from "Sons of Anarchy" you can have some words of wisdom to share with humanity.

I can see the number of listeners for each podcats (ranging from 300 to 50ish) but those are just "numbers" so it really means a lot to actually hear from someone like that. No joke.

Episode 301: The Lackadaisical Librocubicularist Podcast Jesus Like Resurrection (But Real !)

Aaaannnndddd we're back! (I am of course using the podcast "we" which is a lot like the royal "we" in that it can mean "I")

Confused!? That makes three of us... Episode 301 is what we are going to call this thing. A whole new era for the Lackadaisical Librocubicularist Podcast.

Things that have changed

1) Rather than upwards of five 30-40 minute podcasts a week there will be one 30ish minute episode because as I say to all the little kiddies listening out there: "If work is hard, don't do it"

2) Movie Monday is now Movie Monologue

3) TV Tuesday is now Television Talk

4) Book Bwednesday is now Book Banter

5) Thur-Video-Games-Day is now Game Gabbin'

6) Fri-Internet-Day is now Internet Intercourse

7) No more recording while driving! Got myself an actual factual USB microphone and everything... Like a professional! (Please do not expect a professional podcast.)

Things that have remained the same:

1) Nonsensical Ratings of things

2) Nonsensical Sponsors

3) Nonsensical Theme Musics and Sounds

4) Nonsensical Rants

E) Nonsense.

Basically what has happened is we (meaning I) here at the podcast have taken the essences of the previous incarnation and boiled it down and reduced it to its quintessential components. Streamlined is a word you could use... and by that I mean a word you could use to describe the podcast going forward not just sort a word you could use in day-to-day conversation if you so choose... oh boy...

Please if you like what hear pass it on to a friend. If you don't like what you hear pass it on to an enemy. Rating, Subscribing and Commenting on iTunes is also very nice of you.

Hello Again!

Just a little bit about the actual content of this episode. I decided to just talk of some of my favorite consumptions of media while I have been away and they are...were:

1) Movie Monolgue = Guardians of the Galaxy

2) Television Talk = Night Court, Sons of Anarchy, and of course Doctor Who

3) Book Banter - The Wheel of Time Series

4) Game Gabbin' = Divine Divinity, Paths of Exile, Terraria & Far Cry 4

5) Internet Intercourse = A wide variety of stuffs... Also feel free to follow me on YouTube here:

I will post special episodes and Playlists there.

Then End...? No.

As Aaron Lewis of the American rock band Staind that was formed in 1995 in Springfield, Massachusetts once said: "It's been a while" !!!!

On that note things are in the works for the podcast returning in 2015.  Exciting things no less! I am still working out some details but it will be quite a bit different from the first 300 episodes and that's all I am saying for now and you can't make me!

Now on to this thing!  FanExpo Toronto 2014 is over and boy howdy was that a lot of fun!  Seriously pooped

If you are interested in seeing all the incredible pics of famous folks signing Nerd-Cane as well as many dozens of amazing cosplayers holding him you can do so here:

Lastly, and most importantly a thanks.  Thank you to all those who where so kind (as usual) to Nerd-Cane and his handler!  You make these expo thing-a-majigs some of the greatest times of his immortal life!

Some of the very small thanks I can give on behalf of Nerd-Cane is to plug anything that you might like plugging!  But not in a sexual way as I am very happily married...  As Scott Aukerman of the Comedy bang bang podcast says Lets open the 'ole plug bag:

The Lackadaisical Librocubicularist Indefinite Podcast Hiatus.

Goodybye! (For a While...?)

A couple of times over these 300 episodes I have mentioned my “Podcast Philosophy” which is:

Do a podcast for 51% to 99% for the reason that you enjoy doing it.  (If I was doing it 100% for myself why would I bother recording and posting it?)  The remaining percentage can be made up of the hope that people will listen, like it, and it could even turn into a “thing”.

In this post episode 300 world I have felt the percentages start to slide a bit and treading more into the feel of “work” and not that of “fun”, and as I always say to all the kiddies out there listening: “if work is hard don’t do it”.

Since we are talking numbers I think 84.76% of the reason that is the case is that the missus and I are moving.  Houses that is.  That’s taking up a lot of my attention which makes finding time to get my podcast on not easy.

SO with all that said I will be taking a break from podcasting.  Not sure when I will be back into the swing of things.  May not get back at all... When/If I do come back I may change things up a bit.  My drive to work will be shorter which would tighten up the episodes.  May have a totally different format all together. Maybe have some guests somehow!  The sky is the limit basically. NO!  The god damn edge of universe is the limit! Yeah that’s the sprit! BAMF!

I do know there still will be the odd special episode and the next one will of course be “Nerd-Cane Adventures: FanExpo 2014” so I am looking forward to that.

I guess lastly would just like to thank all those who listened.  As of typing this, the podcast is just shy of 29,000 “listens”.  There may not have been a lot of you but I am freakishly lucky in that I put a thing out on the internet and somehow, someway never had anyone say anything mean about it!  Did not even think that was possible...

Typing this has made me sad and I hope that this will not be my last time saying the same thing I have said at the end of each and every episode. And that is of course:

“It’s Nice To Be Nice To The Nice.”

The Lackadaisical Librocubicularist Episode 300: Music

This description of the episode could simply read "Jordan gets drunk and listens to music"; However, it turned into so much more than that.  A stream of consciousness and memories floated languidly out into the ether and it turned into one of my favorite episodes.  If you have ever got drunk and listened to music with me a lot of this should trigger memories in you as well.  All that might explain why it is FIVE AND A HALF HOURS LONG!
As promised here is "Jordan's Massive Playlist" available on Grooveshark so you can listen along:
Thanks to all who have joined me for some of these 300 episodes!  A special thanks to all those who have rated the podcast in iTunes as that helps podcast to grow and flourish...floouuurish.
Lastly,  If you noticed that after episode 100 I took one week off, and after episode 200 I took two weeks off it will come as no surprise that I will be take a three week podcast hiatus after this, my episode 300. BAMF!  Don't worry though because my addiction to podcasting will mean I will just be recording and banking episodes while I am "away" just at a much more leisurely pace is all...
The final thing to say, that has been my final word 300 times now, is of course: It's nice to be nice to the nice.
